Special Projects
Custom photography built around ideas, intention, and execution.
Special projects are for work that doesn’t fit neatly into a predefined category. These sessions are collaborative by nature and designed around the concept, story, or outcome you’re trying to achieve — whether that’s creative, documentary, personal, or something in between.
This type of work often requires more planning, flexibility, and problem-solving than a standard session — and that’s the point.
The Approach
Every special project begins with a conversation — before cameras, locations, or logistics are decided.
We’ll talk through your idea, goals, references, and how the final images will be used. That planning informs everything — location, lighting approach, pacing, and visual direction — so the shoot itself is focused and intentional rather than improvised.
During the session, direction is guided but adaptive. The structure keeps things moving, while leaving room for discovery, experimentation, and moments that can’t be planned in advance.
What This Can Include
Special projects may include (but are not limited to):
Conceptual or creative portrait work
Documentary or photo-story projects
Editorial or experimental sessions
Events or long-form coverage
Personal projects that require a custom approach
If it doesn’t fit a standard service page, it probably belongs here.
Project Scope & Pricing
Special projects are fully custom and scoped individually.
Pricing is based on:
Planning and creative development needs
Time and coverage requirements
Location and logistics
Intended usage of the images
Because of the variability involved, all special projects require a consultation before booking.
